SSC JE Exam Pattarn
Before examining the SSC Junior Engineer syllabus in detail, let us check on the SSC JE 2020 exam pattern. The important points of the new SSC JE exam pattern for 2020 are given below:
- SSC JE Syllabus for 2020 includes two papers –
- Paper I (Computer Based Examination)
- Paper-II (Descriptive Type)
- 2: Paper I has a negative marking of 0.25% marks for each wrong answer.
- 3: Each paper has a duration of 120 minutes.

SSC JE Syllabus
The SSC Junior engineer exam consists of two stages. Have to Paper-I (Objective type) & Paper-II (Descriptive Type) written exam. SSC JE Paper-I Syllabus
Paper-I will be conducted online (Computer Based Test). Paper-I has three subjects.

- General Engineering.

(i): General Intelligence & Reasoning Syllabus
The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type.

(ii): General Awareness Syllabus:
This section will have a total of 50 questions with 50 marks. Questions based mainly on general awareness of the candidate. And all about the application to his/her surrounding environment. And examine knowledge of current affairs, everyday commentaries, and various applications of society. Therefore, the questions in this section will be such that candidates do not need a special study of any particular subject. This section also includes questions related to India and its neighboring countries, specifically related to the following topics:

- General Polity
- Economic Scene

(iii): General Engineering Syllabus:
Paper-1 General Engineering section was divided into three sections. This section has contains 100 objective type questions. Candidate can choose any one of these three subjects in the section. SSCJE Paper-II Syllabus
The SSC Junior Engineer Paper-II exam is known as SSCJE main exam. This exam is a conventional type of paper. And all the questions will be related to the diploma branch. But this paper will be of a total of 300 marks. Therefore, focus and study through the SSC JE syllabus.
Note: This paper consists of three parts in the form of Paper-I (General Engineering). Paper-II is a written test of 300 marks. And the duration of the exam is 2 hours. The SSC JE main paper will be on any of the following parts chosen by the candidate concerned:
- Part-A: Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering
- Part-B: Electrical Engineering
- Part-C: Mechanical Engineering
